My Background

I’ve spent the past 15 years in the field of education, where I had the privilege of teaching high school and college-aged students at Holton-Arms School and the University of South Carolina. I received a bachelor’s degree in History and a Graduate Teaching Certification in Social Studies from American University before going on to earn a master’s degree in History from George Washington University. Over time, I found myself more and more drawn to the process of teaching than to the confines of subject matter content. I dedicated my time to working with students individually to better understand and celebrate the strengths of every learner in my class. Whether running optional study sessions or leading writing workshops, my philosophy of teaching centered around guiding students toward discovering how they could reach their highest potential.

Transitioning from the classroom to coaching was a seamless and natural progression in my professional life. As an educator, I had already spent years providing executive functioning support to my students in the classroom. After receiving a Coaching Certification in Executive Functioning, I am now able to dedicate my time and expertise exclusively to empowering my clients as they work to strengthen their executive skills and develop successful lifelong habits. My strengths lie in identifying each of my client’s unique needs and working closely together with them to achieve their goals and improve their autonomy and self-esteem.
